One of my favorite bands to photograph came to Clubul Taranului at Romanian Peasant Museum for a colorful and happy evening.
Here’s a small preview with Les Elephants Bizarres and if you want to see more – find them HERE.
I’ve never been so happy in my life and still singing “So much love” everyday after this amazing experience, cause dreams do come true and in one lucky evening of June I had the great pleasure to photograph Depeche Mode, my all time love band.
The entire story started in February 2017 when I applied for their Facebook fans take over campaign. After a couple of months and many sleepless nights, this is what I managed to do 🙂
Hope you like these pictures as much as I do. The full set is available HERE.
My crazy one week music holiday started with more than four hours waiting in rain for the Coldplay concert at Olympiastadion (Munich) and ended with officially photographing Depeche Mode in the same location. Dreams do come true if you dare to dream 🙂
This was my second night of A Head Full Of Dreams after the Coldplay concert on Wembley last year and still hope that one day I will properly photograph these amazing guys.
So, waiting more than fours hours in the rain, hoping that the weather will be good in the end. And indeed we were some very lucky fans and had no water drops after Coldplay arrived on stage 🙂 Two hours later the concert seemed too short, colorful and full of unexpected surprises – Green Eyes on C stage, Chris Martin changing his t-short on stage, filming the video for Something just like this, one German fan playing piano for Chris during Everglow and the list of special moments could go on for ever.
Time for some pictures taken with my mobile phone.
And have a look HERE for the all Coldplay pictures including the Wembley experience from 2016.
Coldplay – A Head Full Of Dreams Tour, Olympiastadion, Munich, June 2017
Music, concerts and photography have been part of my life for so long now, but I needed a couple of years to move from photographing flowers, buildings and streets to going to events and live concerts with my camera.
Some of my adventures from when I started last year are here and here. And now it is time for a short update 🙂
Look for emotions and special moments
Every night is different, every artist has his/her own magic, so one of the first lessons learnt when going to live events was to appreciate the story and the details that will make that story a memorable one.
Love the colors
I have to say a big thank you to Cornel Ilie and VUNK when I will have the chance to meet again. At my second VUNK concert, they had soooo funky colors, even a bit too funky for my beginner photographing skills. But later on, I started to love them and esteem those colors more and more each day.
After that VUNK show, everything seemed much easier, even the smoke during LESEB concert @ Hard Rock Cafe or during Omul cu Sobolani concert @ Fratelli or the low light during so many live performances.
Enjoy the show
There’s a golden rule in live entertainment – if the public is feeling good then the artist is happy and if the artist is doing a great show then the public is happy. When everybody is enjoying the event, it is time for precious memories and photographs 🙂
Just enjoy the ride (as Morcheeba used to sing) and you might return home with pretty pictures.
Somebody used to say “we are here to enjoy that we are here” and this is what I try to capture every time I am allowed to photograph a concert or a special event. And for sure, this past half year full of live music completely changed the way I photograph and appreciate photos.

And here is a proof that I still love flowers. And here is another one.
